Back in the Saddle Again

I finally downloaded these pictures of my fist 10k post baby Ella.  I ran it on Nov. 22 here in Surprise.  Dave's job was to get the kids to the finish line and take some pictures of my victorious and triumphant finish.  He got the kids there but I don't see me in any of the pictures.  He got some good pictures of others who ran the race.  935 looks like she is having fun.  I'm sure I came in so fast that he just couldn't get the camera ready on time.  Yeah, that's it.

Ella Bella

Here are some pics of Ella.  She is growing so fast.  She is 5 months already.  She is still very mild mannered and just goes with the flow.  We can't get her to smile long enough to take a picture though.

Jackson Family comment of the year!

A few weeks ago Dave got tickets to the Phoenix Suns game, so off he and Quinn went for a little Father-Son bonding time.  Dave spent the game educating Quinn on the game of basketball and getting him familiar with all of the players, especially Steve Nash.  Quinn even came home with a brand new Steve Nash jersey.  After the game was over and they got into the car Dave asked Quinn what his favorite part of the game was.  Without hesitation Quinn replied "The girls dancing."  Oh my, how observant our little ones are.

Quinn's hospital visit

Here is Dad and Quinn in the hospital.  Quinn had a little asthma episode last month.  I took him to the doctor on Wednesday, Nov. 12 because he was laboring heavily to breath.  The doc sent us straight to the hospital for breathing and steroid treatments.  Quinn's bronchial tubes were so tight he was not passing enough air through them to wheeze.  Luckily he responded well to the treatments and we were able to go home the next day.  Dad was able to spend the night with Quinn then Pa (grandpa Jackson) relieved dad early thursday morning until I could get there.  Quinn sure did enjoy the attention at the hospital.  Thursday when he felt better he had lots of fun in the play room and loved it when Pa, then mom, pushed him around and around and around the halls in a cool car.  So Quinn is officially an asthmatic.  Like father like son.  Dad can relate to Quinn's breathing issues and handles them a lot better then me.

Hike up Thunderbird Mtn

We took our family on a picnic and hike to Thunderbird Mountain last weekend.  Daddy and Ella stayed back and mom took Dailee, Aubrey, and Quinn up the mountain.  We took some cute pictures.

A Better Blogger

Ok, Ok so I need to be a better blogger.  It's been almost a month since my last post.  Maybe it's because it is 9:30 at night and Aubrey just came down because she if afraid she is going to have a nightmare.  That's right she didn't actually have a nightmare she is just afraid that she might have one. You think I would be kid free by 9:30.  And here is Dailee.  GO TO BED!!!  So that is why I don't blog more often, can't seem to find the time to do it.  Any suggestions?

Our latest addition!

Ella Rebecca Jackson was born July 10, 2008.  She weighed 8 lbs. 7 oz. and was 21 1/2 inches long.  Ella is a bless-ed child.  She has slept through the night since she was 5 weeks old.  She is very content.  Never makes a peep unless she is hungry or tired.  We have so enjoyed her.  Quinn is especially cute with her always saying "hi sweet girl".

my first post

The Jackson's have started a blog!!!!  This is my attempt to keep in touch better with friends and family since I am terrible at calling and emailing.
